Tamil TV journalist attacked in Nuwara Eliya

An unidentified group of persons Wednesday evening attacked a well known Tamil journalist J.Sri Ranga of Sakthi Television travelling in a vehicle with his police escort in Hatton, a town in Nuwara Eliya district, according to police media spokesman I.M.Karunaratne, Senior Superintendent of Police.
The escort sub-inspector was injured but Sri Ranga escaped unhurt. The vehicle was damaged.
Mr. Ranga had made complaint at the Hatton Police, sources said.
