Shriya Saran is known to devote a lot of time and effort to charity. She has already started quite a few projects to help those affected with blindness by opening a home for them and in an innovative move, she also has a spa run by the blind.
Now the actress has taken up the cause of unfortunate girl children and wants to help them empower themselves. She has allied herself with yesteryear actress Poonam Dhillon who is also fighting for the same cause. Poonam played Shriya’s mother in her first film. The actress whom Shriya calls an angel is doing a charity show to save and empower the girl child and Shriya will be walking the ramp for this show.
