Sinhala elite succeeds proving Rajapaksa a liability for genocidal State

Sections of Sinhala elite have succeeded in removing Mahinda Rajapaksa as a liability for the continuation of the genocidal Sinhala State and its monopoly over the island, Tamil political observers commented on the outcome of the ‘presidential’ election for the Establishment in Colombo. According to latest reports on Friday morning, Mahinda Rajapaksa left the charge of his official residence in Colombo to the current opposition leader Ranil Wikramasinghe, who in turn is expected to invite the winning candidate Maithripala Srisena to become the next president. Rajapaksa was open in his campaign that the choice between the two main candidates was a choice between China and the USA. India had a tacit understanding with the USA, political observers said.

Both Washington and New Delhi were together in the guise of ‘counterterrorism’ agenda in supporting Rajapaksa and in coursing the genocide of the nation of Eezham Tamils in the island, for upholding the unitary State of their strategic benefits.

Within five years Rajapaksa became a liability when the agenda is confirmation, containment and at the same time getaway from indictment.

The Sinhala elite, including the Buddhist, Jathika Hela Urumaya was intelligent enough in realising that any continuation of Rajapaksa would be a liability for the continuation of the Sinhala State, its international acceptance and its continued genocidal monopoly of the island.

The Sinhala elite was able to mobilise, strike deals with powers and convince the Sinhala masses.

There was no such political preparation and mobilisation among Tamil elite in internationally presenting its case. As such, the trend is going to be a ‘containment’ agenda, herding the present Tamil and Muslim leaderships into a subordinate alliance at the establishment in Colombo, Tamil political observers said. However, another line of political thinking is already emerging among the Tamil grassroot and soon it has to inevitably polarise into a political movement, the observers further said.
