Ramadoss condemns SL Defence Chief remarks on politicians

image Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder-leader S Ramadoss today condemned the Sri Lanka Defence Chief Ponseka's recent remarks that Indian politicians were 'buffons'.

It was after an all-party meet led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and appealed to him to ensure the stoppage of Lankan Army's attacks on Tamils in the island nation.
In a release from his Thailapuram residence tonight, Dr Ramadoss alleged that Mr Ponseka had also commented that Tamils were second-class citizens in Sri Lanka and that needed to be condemned vehemently.

The PMK leader alleged that the Defence Chief was behaving like a dictator. The Centre should demand an apology from the Lankan President Mahindra Rajapakse and Mr Ponseka on the issue, he added.
The Chief Minister should take steps to bring the issue to the notice of Dr Singh, urging him to send the External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukerjee soon to Colombo to sort out the problem, he added.
He said Tamil Nadu would not allow Tamils to be insulted by Mr Ponseka.
