Ulaga Azhagi: About beauty queen travails

image Babu Ganesh – who recently set a Guinness record by undertaking the 14 essential roles required to make a film such as director, actor, cameraman, stunt choreographer, etc. – is back again with a big project. After having spoken about the travails of an actress in Nadigai, the bold director will now speak about the travails of beauty queens in his upcoming Ulaga Azhagi.

Based upon the recent charges of partiality and bias that Parvathy Omanakuttan, Miss World runner-up, leveled upon the judges, Ulaga Azhaghi will be an exposé on beauty pageants. The director will attempt to expose the dark side of the people at the helm of this industry and the atrocities heaped upon beauty pageant contestants.

The film employs several Hollywood technicians, including cinematographer Bruce, editor Mercy John and several symphony artists. But the biggest highlight would be the involvement of several beauty queens from different states of India. Babu Ganesh said, “I thought a real beauty queen, who has been there and knows what it is like to lose the title to another because of partiality in judgment, would do justice to the role. Therefore I decided to include professional beauty pageant winners and I am also looking forward to involve a Miss World title winner in my film.”
