Tamil Nadu will on Friday make a “final request” to the Centre to save Sri Lankan Tamils.
Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi will move a resolution titled ‘In Sri Lanka, the Tamil race is being wiped out – a final request to the Indian government,’ after the approval of Speaker R. Avudaiappan and the House, according to a press release from the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. The context, according to a senior DMK leader, was the continued killings of Tamils in the name of the war against LTTE.
“Centre not doing enough”
While the DMK is aware that India has only a limited role in bringing the war in another sovereign country to an end, it believes
