Students boycott classes on Sri Lankan Tamil issue

Students of various colleges across Tamil Nadu today boycotted classes to condemn the ongoing genocide of Eelam Tamils in Sri lanka and demanded immediate ceasefire to end the killings.

Reports from districts said students owing allegiance to the All India Students Federation, took to the streets and staged demonstrations in this regard.

The students shouted slogans against the Lankan Government for alleged mindless attack on Tamils and called for immediate halt to the hostilities.
