image It looks like the times of Thayagarja Bhagavathar is returning to Tamil filsm, when a hero needed every skill to be a hero.

‘Kandasamy’ is produce don a grand scale by Kalaipuli S Thanu for V Creations. வி.Vikram and Shriya play the lead roles. Directed by Susi Ganesan, music is by Devi Sriprasad. 4 songs written by Viveka have been recorded. All have been sung by Vikram.

Says Susi Ganesan, “It was usual in the times of Thyagaraj Bhagavatar for a hero to act and sing. The heroes used to sing all songs. One can say, after all this time, hero Vikram has sung all the songs in his film. When we were shooting in Malaysia , he just sang 10 songs in playback for us. When I asked who had sung them, he said it was his voice. So I asked him why he was not singing in films and he said no one had asked him.

On returning to Chennai, I told music composer Devi Sriprasad about it. He asked Vikram to sing “moongil kaadugale.” On hearing his good singing, he made Vikram sing one sing and finally Vikram ended up singing all the 4 songs.

The songs “maam maamaa” and “poda podi” will be enjoyed by old and young. The ‘Kandasamy’ team is proud to show this hidden talent of Vikram. He is truly an amazing artiste, an amazing star.
