image The rift between director Lingusamy and Nayanthara was finally settled amid reports that the latter paid back the advance she got from Lingusamy’s home production for starring in the film Payya. It may be recalled that the lady pulled out of the project owing to certain differences with the director. She also refused to pay back the advance amount that was given to her contending that the director and producer had wasted her call sheet and hence she deserved to be compensated.

Due to this, the Nadigar Sangam and the Producers’ Council had jointly issued a ban on her. This ban was revoked very recently with a statement made by the members of these two associations that Nayan had returned the advance to Lingusamy.

Interestingly enough, Nayan seems to have no clue as to who paid the fee. However, sources aver that the amount was paid by Udhayanidhi Stalin, the producer of Aadhavan in which Nayan plays the lead role alongside Suriya. Sources also say that the amount was not deducted from Nayan’s salary either.
