Simbu-Trisha in ‘Vainnaithaandi’

image The film directed by Gautham Menon and starring Simbu and Trisha has been titled ‘Vainnaithaandi.’

Out of Gautham’s 5 films, ‘Minnale,’ ‘Vettaiyaadi Vilayadu,’ ‘Kaaka Kaaka’ and ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’ were super hits. Only ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’ was a disappointment to producer and director. But to get 4 hits out of 5 is a remarkable achievement in tamil films. It earned him the name of ‘superhit director.’

After ‘Vaaranam Aayiram,’ Gautham started work on ‘Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam.’ But he suddenly droppe din mid way and got involve din another project. He has been having story discussions for the past one month and named his film ‘Vainnaithaandi.’

The hero and heroine are Simbu and Trisha who are pairing up now after ‘Alai.’ After ‘Sarvam,’ Trisha had no film offers and ‘Vainnaithaandi’ has set that right.

Usually Harris Jayaraj scored the music for Gautham’s films but that jodi has parted ways, so music for ‘Vainnaithaandi’ is by AR Rehman. Simbu does a romantic role minus action and punch dialogues.
