There is supposed to be a woman behind every man’s success. In Surya’s case, he says it is his wife Jyotika.
Recently, Surya was a special guest at the annual celebrations of a private engineering college in Vellore . He was invited not on the basis of his being an actor, but because of the charity work he does for children through his Trust.
Amidst loud cheer, Surya took the mike to speak. “My father always wanted me to be number one in studies, but I was an average student only.” This was in response to the students saying they look at him and want to quit studies and take to acting!
“Who is the cause of your success?” chorused the students in unison. Surya said he owed his success to his parents, directors Vasanth and Bala and also did not forget to include wife Jyotika’s name.
“If I have been accepted as a mass hero now, it is because of Jyotika. When casting was going on for ‘Kaaka Kaaka,’
