Protest to condemn killing of Tamils

2009030857390201 Members of the minority community under the banner Tiruchi District Minorities Federation staged a demonstration in the city on Saturday condemning the genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka.

 

While urging the Central government to take steps to stop the killings of Sri Lankan Tamils in the island nation, they wanted the government to exert pressure on Sri Lanka to stop the ongoing war.

 

By a resolution, the Federation appealed to the Centre to invite Sri Lankan government for talks and find out steps to stop the war permanently and protect the lives of the Tamil population.
