image What do you get when Bollywood goes to Hollywood to make a movie of lavish proportions? Kambakkht Ishq, of course! The film has the multitalented Akshay Kumar in the lead role, and Bollywood’s current leading lady Kareena Kapoor starring opposite him. This is the seventh movie together for Akki and Bebo. Supporting them are actor Aftab Shivdasani and actress Amrita Arora.

This latest offering from the house of Sajid Nadiadwala, known for hit movies like Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Heyy Baby, is directed by Sabbir Khan. In Nadiadwala’s own words Kambakkht Ishq is probably the first Indian movie to have been shot at Universal Studios and the Kodak Theatre (home to The Oscars). It also has the distinction of having Hollywood heavyweights like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh appear in cameo roles. Parts of the movie were shot in Venice, Italy.

The premise is simple: Boy meets girl in beautiful L.A., and they fall in love with each other. But not all romances are destined to have a smooth sailing, and what follows next is a battle of the sexes that’s sure to have you laughing throughout the movie. So what happens when “the stuntman of the year meets the supermodel of the year?”
