I don’t approve of titles: Suriya

image Suriya, as we all know, is a trendsetter in Tamil cinema has a huge fan following. After a hat-trick with Vel, Vaaranam Aayiram and Ayan, the star has entered the league of the most bankable stars in the industry today.

With carefully chosen roles, Suriya is probably going through, the best days of his career. Also, his fan base in the overseas market seems to have increased and distributors are assured of a minimum guarantee with his upcoming films.

In Ayan, the actor continues from where he left with Vaaranam Aayiram and has created a niche for himself. He has not confined himself to stereotyped roles. Another reason why he is liked is his clean image.

But in spite of inching closer to versatility, Suriya, in a recent interview, reportedly declined to be accept any titles such as ‘Ilayathalapathy – Puratchi Thalapathy’. In fact, he hates such titles, and insists that an actor should be known only by his work!
