Doctor: Sri Lanka hospital shelled, 15 killed

A doctor at a hospital in Sri Lanka’s war zone says the facility has been hit by two shells in an attack that killed at least 15 people.

 

The attack Wednesday marked the second day in a row the hospital was hit.

 

Dr. V. Shanmugarajah said shells hit the hospital about 1 p.m. Wednesday. About 40 people were wounded.

 

The military denies shelling the war zone.
