With chief minister Karunanidhi handling over his responsibilities to his son MK Stalin and christening him as the Deputy Chief Minister, congratulatory messages have been pouring on the pet son of the DMK patriarch.
Political circles aver that this recognition is long overdue for the local administration minister who has risen from the grassroots level. Many politicians have called him over telephone and some of them have even made a visit to the new DCM and extended their wishes.
Noteworthy among the politicians are P Chidambaram, Puducherry CM Vaidyalingam to name a few.
From the film fraternity superstar Rajinikanth had contacted Stalin and extended his heartfelt wishes over phone.
