thiruma300_15012009 Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi founder-president and MP Thol Thirumavalavan has reiterated that LTTE chief V Prabakaran was still alive.

Addressing a public meeting organised by the Eelam Tamils Living Rights Retrieval Movement here last night, he alleged that both the Indian Government as well as Srilankan Government were telling lies that Prabhakaran was eliminated in the recent battle in the island nation.

The VCK leader alleged that Union Government had succumbed to the pressure of Srilankan Government and kept silent over the genocide against the innocent Tamils in the island nation.

Charging the Union Government with betraying the people of Tamil Nadu on the Cauvery river water dispute, he said the Centre, by giving clearance to Andhra Pradesh for constructing a dam across river Palar would affect interest of the people of Tamil Nadu.

Dravidar Kazhagam President K Veeramani, speaking on the occasion accused the Lankan Government of not allowing the ship carrying relief materials for the affected Lankan Tamils to enter the island nation and also holding the Tamils in various relief camps and refusing to release them.
