image Vijay’s wedding hall in Saligramam was imbued with heightened celebrations and expectations and no fans except the main executives of his fan clubs could enter.
Reporters and fans, who were eagerly expecting announcement of his entry into politics, were in for disappointment. Here is Vijay’s response to the popular questions.

“For many years, I have been celebrating my birthday. But this year, it is rather special. I wanted to donate computers for education and that has happened. Our wedding hall is looking rather like a hospital now. In collaboration with our fan club, the Chettinad Health Centre is conducting health camps. My fans have taken a great deal of trouble to arrange for this.”

When is the release of ‘Vettaikaran’?

“The film is 75% complete and should be ready for a Deepavali release. My 50th film will be produced by Sangili Murugan. Who the heroine and who the director will be, are to be announced formally after the release of Vettaikaran.”

Are you going to start a political party?

“The fans are doing many wonderful things beyond their capacity. It is their wish that I must enter politics. It’s true I had discussions about it. Many opined I could enter politics and do good for the people. There is a clash of opinions over this with my fans. But we have decided now to make this a people movement.”

But the reporters were still insistent over talking about his entry into politics.
