For World AIDS Day

image It’s a day to be remembered to make this world a better place to live. It is a time to step up awareness, battle prejudice, improve education, and start prevention policies for countries with high incidence of HIV-AIDS. December 1st is regarded as the world AIDS day and the key objective of this campaign is to provide basic rights to HIV prevention, treatment, care and support.

From our end we have brought to you a touching short film to elucidate the society about the real pain of AIDS. Watch it and pass it on to those who you feel must be educated. Let us hate the virus not the human!

‘Prarambha’ the short film directed by Santosh Sivan and funded by Bill Gates foundation has Prabhu Deva, Skandha, Divya Spandana, Saroja Devi and others.

The movie was premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in 2007 and then screened for the first time in India on December 1st (AIDS awareness day) 2007 at 38th International Film Festival of India.

The story shows how a truck driver (Prabhu Deva) discovers a little boy (Skandha) at the back of his truck. The driver finds that Kittu is on a journey to find his mother (Anu Prabhakar), who left the home town after discovering that she was HIV positive. The driver helps the kid to find it’s mom but she refuses to see her son. Later the driver finds out that the kid is interested to go to school but was dismissed as he was also HIV positive.

The film shows how the driver with the help of the school’s headmistress educated the parents of the school about HIV with awareness program to change their perceptions.
