Government demolishes Tiger monuments while erecting monuments for its soldiers

Government of Sri Lanka (GoSL) which is actively destroying the Heroes Tombs and memorial monuments of Liberation Tigers in Vanni is simultaneously busy erecting memorial monuments for its soldiers killed, in many parts of Vanni, sources in Vanni said.

A memorial monument is being constructed for the soldiers killed in Elephant Pass during the war in 2000 while Ki’linochchi playground is being cleared to erect similar memorial monuments, the sources added.

The Tombs of the fallen Liberation Tigers in the Heroes Resting Homes located interior of A9 road in Vanni had been completely razed to the ground by GoSL.
