image Ganesh Venkataraman who plays the hero in Kavithalaya’s “Muriyadi” directed by Selva bonded big time with veteran actor Sathyaraj on the sets of the film. Says Ganesh, “Sathyaraj sir has a great sense of humor not only on screen but also off screen.

He would have us in splits all the time on the sets with his humor. It was great to see the huge fan following he has when we were shooting in Pollachi and Coimbatore.”

He further adds, ‘‘the biggest compliment for me was when he told that he had tears in his eyes after seeing my performance in the climax of the film.’’
Muriyadi has Ganesh playing an upright lawyer who fights against injustices done to the poor people and Sathyaraj playing a common man. The film is said to be an edge of the seat thriller with a very strong social message.
