While it’s not uncommon that actors leave their wives at home when they attend public functions, Jiiva prefers to take his beloved wife Supriya along. Whether it’s a Saturday night party or a formal cine function, if Jiiva is there so will Supriya. "I believe that one must share everything with his life partner – the good times and the bad. I don’t see why I must leave my wife out when I’m off partying. I have nothing to hide from her and am more than happy to take her with me. The more you share and the more you spend time with each other, the better will be the understanding," says the wisened husband.
Supriya and Jiiva were in love long before his cine career kickstarted, but it was a long distance relationship right up until they got married. Wasn’t there ever a time when another gal put a strain on that relationship? "Even before I could let myself get attracted, these other gals would figure out I was in a relationship! No flirting, no nothing! I think it was plastered on my forehead that I had a girlfriend! Not that I’m complaining! I was happy to be friends.
