image Controversies surrounding the upcoming International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards to be held in Colombo from June 3 to 5 refuses to die. Recently, the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce has threatened to boycott Bollywood stars who choose to attend the programme. They want the venue to be shifted out of Sri Lanka, following allegations of genocide against Lankan Tamils during the war against the LTTE and the continuing discrimination against them.

Meanwhile, ace director Mani Ratnam, Shahrukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Southern stars Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Mammootty, Puneeth Rajkumar, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna have said that they won’t be attending the awards ceremony at Colombo.

Now director-politician Seeman has thanked all these tops stars for not participating in the upcoming IIFA in Colombo. He added that his ‘Naam Tamilar Iyakkam’ will protest against the Bollywood stars who choose to attend the programme.
