Security tightened in Paasikudaa following tourist influx

The security of Paasikudaa tourist resort in the eastern province has been tightened with immediate effect due to the influx of foreign and local tourists. Special camps of the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy and Police have been set up in east cost covering the tourist resort to provide foolproof security to tourist community to spend their holiday, sources in east said.

Last week, Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapakse and government senior officials visited the Paasikudaa where the minister laid the foundation stone for a mega tourist complex.
