Rajapaksa added that the new budget for the year 2011 would be submitted to parliament thereafter. People would feel the real change in the country once a new government is formed. The war is now over and the next step is to develop the country, he said.

Western Province Governor Aleve Maulana, Minister Gamini Lokuge, Presidential Adviser on Trade Unions Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra, Finance Ministry Secretary Dr. P. B. Jayasundara and Public Administration Secretary Dharmasena Dissanayake also attended the conference.
