Can you help?
GAP now realise that the exposure of their trading relationship with Sri Lanka is beginning to haunt them! More countries are beginning to see pickets forming outside their stores. More members of the public are becoming aware.
Soon the pressure for GAP to pull out of Sri Lanka will become unstoppable. We in the UK need to play our part in this process.
We ask all those who care about human rights, about the Tamil dead of last year, about the orphaned Tamil children and those hanging onto life on that Ireland to COME out onto the streets of the UK and join our pickets!
We are looking for more helpers to join existing pickets or help organise new ones (http://gap.eu/stores/). Pickets can generate publicity for the cause. The local press will often print press releases. Why not take some pictures and produce a press release (we can help).
Pickets on October 23rd
For those of you in London we urge you to join us at:
The GAP ‘flagship’ stores in Oxford Street, Central London (meet 50 yds to the right of Exit 7 of Oxford Circus tube) at 12.00 noon on Saturday 23rd. We hope to cover both stores. One of the Directors (Graham) will be joining with you.
If outside please contact us urgently on [email protected] so that we can supply you with leaflets.
Make sure you’re there if you care!
