A collection of paintings by Artist Kuzhanthaivelu Pugazhenthi titled ‘The Faces of War’, depicting the horror experienced by Eazham in its Fourth War and the heroic sacrifice and valour of Liberation Tigers, was exhibited in several places in Tamil Nadu from 11 May till September, beginning in Chennai. The exhibition was later held in Thanjaavoor and Thiruchchi drawing large crowds of people who also took part in the political seminars conducted at the venues of the exhibition. The French Cultural Centre in Chennai which usually caters to the upper class society which had first exhibited the paintings for ten days later extended it for another ten days due to the unexpected welcome shown by the people of Chennai, sources in Chennai said.
More than ten thousand persons viewed the paintings in Chennai and among them were many in addition to the customary supporters of Eazham tamils. The exhibition had to be extended for three more days due to the large number of people who wanted to see it.
In Thanjaavoor the exhibition was held September for three days and political seminars on Eazham tamils were held in the evenings in which various political party leaders who support the cause of Eazham participated. The number of visitors had exceeded twelve thousand.
Meanwhile, the exhibition took place in Thiruchchi and the Eezham sympathizers in Thirunelveali were so enthralled that they made arrangements for it to continue in their town where it drew nearly twenty-five thousand people.
