He will pay a one-time alimony of Rs 10 Lakh to Ramlath and also take care of the educational and medical expenses of their two sons.

Ram Lath was an actress before marriage to Prabhu Deva and the couple had three children of which one son died of cancer. Their marriage was solemnised as per Hindu rites and customs in September 1995. They have been living separately for more than two years following difference of opinions. Anyhow they have now decided to seek divorce admitting that all efforts taken by mediators and elders in their families to resolve their marital problems had failed.
