UTV’s G Dhananjayan began the uphill task of compiling a book that has 1000 best films that boast of commercial success since the year 1930 until 2010. His book, The Best of Tamil Cinema, is made into two volumes. The first part lists movies released from 1931 to 1976 and the second part from 1977 to 2010. This book was launched amidst much fanfare by ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan and everyone were all praises for the author and his efforts.
Now the author has won accolades by none other than ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth. The actor who read the book has been very much impressed by it and said that the book is a treasure trove of knowledge for every cinema buff and that it is a must-read!
