image Vikram Prabhu, son of veteran actor Prabhu and grandson of late thespian Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan, is all set to make his foray into Kollywood. The movie is to be produced under the banner of N. Lingusamy and N. Subash Chandrabose’s Tirupathi Brothers. The production house is currently producing the much awaited Arya – Madhavan starrer Vettai under Lingusamy’s direction, and Vazhakku En 18/9 starring new faces and directed by Balaji Sakthivel. Following the success of his super hit Mynaa, Prabhu Solomon will be directing this as-yet-untitled movie for the production house. The movie is to star Vikram Prabhu; his leading lady Lakshmi Menon will undergo a name change for the movie.

Prabhu Solomon had initially zeroed in on the heroine, and had announced that he was in search of a hero who would resemble Rajinikanth from Mullum Malarum. Prabhu Solomon revealed a little of the storyline, stating that the movie would revolve around the recent incidents of rogue elephants from forests creating havoc in villages, the reason for such incidents, and about Kumki elephants (trained and domesticated) that are used to calm these rogue elephants and take them back to the forests. In this film, the hero is a trainer of Kumki elephants.

Prabhu Solomon further stated that he went to various places over the past six months in search of the perfect person to portray his hero. Recently, he met Vikram Prabhu and found him absolutely suitable for the part. Further, to get Vikram Prabhu accustomed to elephants, the director is planning to send him to Othapalayam in Kerala, on a 15 day trip. The director also said that filming for the movie would begin once Vikram Prabhu is comfortable with elephants.

We at Galatta.com wish Vikram Prabhu and the unit of this movie all success!
