Trinco Port Land Up For Grabs

The government is to lease out nearly 1000 acres of land at the Trincomalee port to private investors, the Ports Authority said.

Ports Authority Chairman Priyath Wickrama told The Sunday Leader that cabinet approval has already been granted for this move.

The Ports Authority Chairman said that some of the funds obtained from giving out the land at the port to investors will be used to repair the damaged jetty.
