Sri Lanka Grease Devils scapegoat mental patients

Sri Lanka’s occupying military in Jaffna that has now become Sri Lanka Grease Devils commits a despicably inhuman crime by forcibly bringing in mental patients warded in Thellippazhai mental hospital to take part in its ‘grease devil’ attacks, residents in Vasaavi’laan said. In one such ‘mission,’ the ‘grease devil’ attackers who went to the nearby Kuddiyappulam locality of Vasaavi’laan village created a situation of getting caught by the public, but ran away after purposefully leaving behind a 24-year-old Tamil mental patient, Mr. Jeyakanthan in the hands of the public. Enquiries by the residents revealed that Mr. Jeyakumar who had been warded in the mental hospital was brought in by the occupying military. The two grease devils that came with him ran away.

The act was deliberately planned to confuse the public and smokescreen SL military involvement in the terror drive, residents said.

Earlier also, in some cases involving with Sinhalese caught by the public in Jaffna, the SL police claimed that they were mentally deranged.

Eyewitnesses tell that SL Army personnel coming in uniform use public buildings in the nights to ‘transform’ into ‘grease devils.’ While one group disperses into different directions to engage in attacks the other group remain to give protection if the devils are caught, people who have seen the modus operandi said.

Meanwhile, in the early hours of Monday, 44-year-old mother of five, Kandasamy Neelojini, was attacked by an armed SL ‘grease devil’ at Pa’ndaththeruppu in Jaffna. She received three injuries on her face and was later admitted at Jaffna Teaching Hospital. There were also reports of clashes between the civilians and the SL forces.

Attacking Tamil and Muslim women in the face or chest is the modus operandi of the Sri Lanka Grease Devils.
