STF presence prevented students attending Batticaloa Technical College

The attendance of students to the Technical College located in Manchaththoduvaay in Batticaloa has dropped drastically due the presence of Sri Lankan Special Task Force according to college administration. More than one hundred STF personnel have been occupying the college premises in the name of to control the tension created following the ‘grease devil’ episode till Monday this week. In the meantime, the Sri Lanka Army soldiers, who visited the college recently without any advance notice have started collecting names and other details of students and also of employees of the college.

An employee said they were taken aback when they saw army soldiers visiting their offices and classrooms to collect such details from every one working in the college.

Many students have stopped attending classes in the college as the STF personnel have been seen roaming everywhere in the college premises.
