Jai, who reached the next level in films as an actor post the stupendous success of ‘Engaeyum Eppothum’, has signed a film to be produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon. Cast opposite him will be Abinaya of ‘Nadodigal’ fame.
The film will be a soft romantic entertainer and will be directed by Prabhu Deva’s former assistant, Prem Sai and has Santhanam to provide comic relief. A test shot was held recently by a leading photographer in the city and the makers are reportedly pleased with the duo for they make a convincing on screen pair.
Abinaya will be seen as a sales girl of a clothing brand in this film and it is said that she was the initial choice of the makers while penning the script, but they considered many others due to the film’s budget that got bigger, however, they felt none can fit the bill well than Abinaya and zeroed in on her. She was last seen in a cameo in ‘7aum Arivu’.
