Veteran actor passes away

image Veteran comedy actor ‘Idichapuli’ Selvaraj, who had acted alongside top stars like MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajiniikanth, Kamal Haasan and Ajith, passed away in Chennai on Monday.
Sources close to the actor’s family said he was complaining of breathing problems for some time now. "As his condition suddenly became serious, he was rushed to a hospital but passed away on the way," they said.
Selvaraj had acted in more than 100 films and had shared screen space with almost all top actors of four generations. He is the elder brother of noted comedy actor Pandu.
Selvaraj was 73 and is survived by his wife Chellam and daughter Vasanthi. On getting the information, the actor’s colleagues and friends visited his house at Nandanam and offered their respects.
