Deepika Padukone plays Rajini’s lady love in this period 3D entertainer. It seems Deepika’s complexion is being made several shades darker to better the compatibility between the duo and its required she looks a little darker than she is to fit the role she is essaying.
"A new technique is being introduced to Indian filmmaking through ‘Kochadaiyaan’ where the actors’ looks including their skin colour has to be compatible. When the makers suggested this to Deepika she agreed to this", say sources close to the unit.
This film directed by Soundarya Ashwin is taking shape at a fast pace and three romantic tracks will be shot in London shortly. Apart from this, Rajini will be doing a ‘Thaandav’ in this biggie as well.
