If Genelia D’ Souza was once hailed by her Bommarillu co-star Siddharth as a real actress, it is now hubby Riteish Deshmukh’s turn to say that she is better than him any day. The actor was recently quoted as saying that he considers Genelia as an actress of mettle.
They began their career together in the film Tujhe Meri Kasam, Hindi remake of Nuvve Kavali, in 2003. More than eight years later, they are going to be back in yet another romantic film titled as Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Reminiscing how Genelia could enact a drunken scene quite easily in one of their films, he said that she has grown as an actress.
"We have grown from film to film. However, she has matured faster as an actress. In a film, we had to do drunken act. She could pull it off very easily. It was then it dawned on me that she is more effective than me as an actor", Riteish said.
Their first film after their marriage together, TNLHG is awaited. Meanwhile, the actor talks a bit about how their friendship evolved over the years. "Love grows very gradually between a girl and a boy. We began as friends. We dated each other later. We never interfere in each other’s personal matters. She gives lot of value to relationships. I am very lucky to have a person like Geni in my life."
