Sri Lankan President leaves for South Korea

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday left for Seoul on a four-day official visit at the invitation of his South Korean counterpart Lee Myung-Bak, officials said.

Rajapaksa, who is leading an 80-member business delegation, will hold talks with the South Korean President.

Several bilateral agreements would be signed during Rajapaksa’s visit with emphasis on bilateral trade promotion.

Rajapaksa will also address a business luncheon co-hosted by four major Business Associations in Seoul and the Sri Lanka-Korea business forum hosted by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He will also meet heads of leading trade organisations in South Korea.
