Vijay’s smoking poster of Thuppaki in controversy

image The smoking poster of Vijay’s Thuppaki that was released recently is in trouble now. A social activist from Chennai has filed a complaint in a police station, for the smoking poster, and demanded the policemen to take necessary actions as the poster violates the Indian Tobacco Act. The activist also mentioned in his complaint that smoking posters will have serious effects on youngsters to take up smoking. 

On being quizzed about the smoking poster, the film’s director A.R.Murugadoss said that the poster was only used for promotional activities. He said that there will not be any smoking scenes in the film. He also said that he will not use any promotional material in future which will feature the actor smoking.
