4 killed, scores wounded, civilian carnage of Sri Lankan air strikes continue

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) bombers hit a civilian settlement in Murasumoaddai in Vanni killing civilians and causing injuries to many around 1:45 p.m. At least 4 civilians were dead among the 25 rushed to hospital. Many wounded were still trapped in the site as Sri Lanka Army (SLA) launched artillery barrage on the settlement after the indiscriminate air strike. At least 9 civilians have been killed and 40 wounded within the last 30 hours in Murasumoaddai. Sri Lanka has stepped up attacks on civilians in Vanni as global attention was focused on Gaza strip.

21 of the wounded were admitted at Tharmapuram hospital.

Artillery barrage by the SLA has blocked transport of the remaining civilians.

The indiscriminate bombardment has taken place between 3rd and 4th Mile Post on Paranthan Mullaiththeevu Road.
