Fonseka’s official residence searched for harbouring army deserters

Sri Lanka Army soldiers numbering about 150 led by the police Friday evening rounded up the official Bullers’ Residence of General(retd) Sarath Fonseka on a complaint that the latter( former SLA commander) had given shelter for a group of army deserters.

Police media spokesman SSP I. M Karunaratne said two police constables had visited the house in Colombo together with the Military Police to investigate the complaint.

They returned as they were not allowed to enter the house by the security personnel of General Fonseka.
