India, SLA, have occupation blueprint for northern coast of Eezham Tamils

By maintaining silence, and covertly working against war crimes investigation on Sri Lanka, India bargained Colombo’s cabinet approval for its hold on the KKS harbour of Eezham Tamils, political observers in Jaffna said. The SL cabinet has approved a proposal by Rajapaksa to develop KKS harbour with Indian aid and a MoU is to be signed soon with Indian government, Deccan Herald reported Thursday. Meanwhile, SL Army physically being inducted in building blocks for a reputed school in the area sets dangerous precedence for prolonged military rule over Eezham Tamils by the occupying Sinhala Army, and shows long-term occupation interests of the military in that particular region, political observers in Jaffna further said.

Delayed, restricted and dodged resettlement in the so-called ‘High Security Zone’ along the northern coast of Eezham Tamils is not merely due to the interests of the occupying SL Army alone. A ‘perverted Stalinist’ model blue print is being hurriedly carried out after enacting military vacuum and perpetuating a political vacuum for Eezham Tamils, leftist political circles in Jaffna said.

According to news reports from Jaffna, SL defence secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is personally interested in building a block for Mahajana College, Thellippazhai, and the Army is physically doing the job. This institution built by the nation of Eezham Tamils over a hundred years is located at the edge of the ‘High Security Zone’, close to the KKS harbour.

A generation that was dejected by the collaborative politics of people like the former Jaffna Mayor Thuraiappa and entered into liberation politics cannot be reduced back into the same despicable polity, commented the leftist circles in Jaffna over a remark that there are more than one collaborating with Gotabhaya in carrying out the blueprint of the occupying military.

Thuraiyappa’s claimed credit was that he built a stadium in front of the Jaffna Fort, which for most of the time later was mainly used by all the occupiers.

The US Asst Secretary of State Robert Blake visited Colombo this week for closeting with Gotabhaya.
