Vidya Balan’s The Dirty Picture has already proved that it is a mass as well as a class film that worked at all levels. Now Vinu Chakaravarthy, the man who introduced Silk Smitha to films, has announced that he will make a biopic on Silk Smitha in Tamil. Interesting The Dirty Picture is not the story of Silk Smitha, it portrayed the life of item girls in film industry.
"It was I who found her at a flour mill in Eluru near Vijayawada, when somebody told me that she was interested in acting. I brought her to the industry and introduced her as Silk. The Silk that I knew will be portrayed in my film," he was quoted saying.
