Vishal’s act in ‘Avan Ivan’ fetched him much critical acclaim from all over. Most of his friends in the industry and co-artists including Arya and Bala vouched that the film will fetch the young talent the prestigious National Award.
The actor was recently in Hyderabad for the promotion of ‘Khiladi’ (The Telugu dub of ‘Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai’) and scribes questioned him whether he expected a National Award for his performance as a squint eyed person in this commercial entertainer.
Pat came the response from Vishal, "I didn’t do that role expecting any award. I did it for the sake of Bala. Although it wasn’t my intention many expected that I would bag the award".
His ‘Khiladi’ is seeing a release on March 16. He also revealed that he has a project lined up with director Bala at the press meet. Apart from which Vishal has a film with director Lingusamy and ‘Samaran’ with Trisha and Thiru that’s taking shape at a fast pace.
