What’s so special about Soundarya R Ashwin’s Kochadaiyaan apart from the fact that the Superstar Rajinikanth is making his comeback after a long time? Here goes the list.
The film features the Superstar in 3 different appearances- one is of Kochadaiyaan named Rana Dheeran, an 8 century A.D emperor, another of a youngster, and the third is of Warrior Ashoka. The film will be made using performance capturing technology.
The team watched almost all the Tamil war films that were released in mid 20th century, to recreate similar scenarios in Kochadaiyaan. Special designers and makeup artistes have been roped in for the film to present all the characters perfectly.
The film also features late actors like Nagesh, PS Veerappa, MN Nambiar, Asokan, and RS Manohar. These actors have been recreated through sophisticated animation techniques. If reports are to be believed, these yesteryear comedians and villains will be the key highlight of the film. The team also boasts that late Nagesh appears in a dual role in the film.
Apart from these legends Deepika Padukone, Sarath Kumar, Shobana, Nassar and Jackie Shroff will add lusture to the cast list. AR Rahman is scoring music for the film, and Rajiv Menon is handling the camera.
