During the audio launch function of Mugamoodi, Vijay spoke glowingly about Mysskin. He said that Kathazha Kannala is one of his favorite songs and that he has always wanted to dance for such a racy number in his films. In fact, the actor makes it a point to tell his directors to have one such song in his films. Citing Velayudham, Vijay said that he had asked Jayam Raja to keep one such song in the film. On a lighter note, the actor admitted that however, the song came out as something else.
Mysskin also returned the compliments by saying that during his days as an assistant director on the sets of the Vijay starrer Youth, he used to admire Vijay and then took a vow that he would talk to the star only after he became a director. He admitted that he shaped the script of Chithiram Pesuthadi keeping Vijay in mind.
