LLRC recommendation likely by March

G.L-Peiris-495x356 The government is hoping to implement some of the recommendations of the Lessons Learned and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC) by March this year.

External Affairs Minister G.L Peiris told reporters today that the government will not formally submit the LLRC report to the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) which is meeting in March.

The UNHRC is expected to once again discuss Sri Lanka and may even take up the UN expert panel report on the final stages of the war in the country.
