Confirming that he has named his next film, which has Atharva, Vedhika and Pooja in lead roles, as ‘Paradesi’, National Award winning director Bala has come out with an explanation as to why he opted for the title.
"The protagonist of this story, irked with the happenings around him, decides to go Paradesam. So I have named the film Paradesi. I felt this title would suit the script well than anything else," he says.
On why he chose Pooja, his ‘Naan Kadavul’ heroine again, Bala explains, "She took immense pains to play a visually challenged girl in Naan Kadavul. But she did not get the due recognition. So I picked her for Paradesi to let her hog the limelight."
About a popular allegation against him, that he would ‘harass’ actors and actresses on the sets, Bala says, "It is not harassment. It is professionalism. I expect nothing but the best from my team members. And it is for their good only."
