Anti SL remark led to Muslim politician’s arrest

(PTI) An ‘inflammatory’ anti-Lanka statement made in Chennai by a fringe Muslim political party leader led to his arrest under the anti-terrorism law, Sri Lankan government said today.

Azath Sally, 49, the leader of National Unity Alliance was arrested by the police’s Crime Investigation Department for his comments last week and served a 90-day detention order under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
