The ‘Terrorist Investigation Division’ of the occupying Sri Lankan military in the North has started to exert pressure on public sector employees, who come under the SL ministries in Colombo, to collaborate with the TID in spying on the people in the North, civil sources in Jaffna told TamilNet on Thursday.

A Sinhalese military person, who identified himself as belonging to TID, has been contacting people and instructing the public sector employees to collaborate with him.

The military operative was also calling the people and harassing them from mobile numbers 0775413352 and 0772130327.

The operative claims to belong to Uduvil TID office, one of the sources said providing particulars of the people who were being harassed by the TID operative.
